How I Work

A team discussing a plan around a table

Foundations first, then growth

Most hire company websites have grown page by page over the years. Good SEO starts by giving the site a clear structure, then builds everything else on top of it. This is how I work with clients.

1. Plan the site structure

I look at what you hire out, where you deliver and what your customers search for. Then I map out the pages your website needs:

The aim is a site where every important search has a page built to answer it, and where those pages link together sensibly.

2. Build and rebuild the pages

I write the new area and service pages, then rework your existing pages to fit the new structure. Nothing useful gets thrown away. Old pages are improved, combined or linked in properly so the whole site works together.

3. Guides and helpful content

Once the foundations are in place, I add guides that answer your customers' questions, such as how much space a bouncy castle needs, what to hire for a first birthday or how many toilets an event needs. These bring in more searches and build trust.

4. Link building

I build relevant, authoritative links to your site from sources that make sense for a hire business, plus listings on the directories I run where they genuinely fit your business.

5. Press releases when they're useful

When you have real news, such as a new attraction, a big local event or a charity day, I write and distribute a press release to earn coverage and links.
